James Cooke has been appointed to the board of Ashburton (Jersey) as Director of Investments for Ashburton Investments (International).
The appointment follows James’ recent promotion to Head of Global Equities at the firm.
James has more than 15 years’ experience in investment management. He joined Ashburton Investments (International) in 2019 as Head of Equity Research and has been responsible for managing equity strategies, including its international fund and portfolio.
Before joining Ashburton Investments, James worked in a consultancy role for Asset Risk Consultants (ARC), advising high-net-worth clients, trusts and charities on investment strategy, strategic asset allocation and discretionary fund manager selection.
Before relocating to Jersey to work with ARC, he was based in Edinburgh, where he spent seven years with SVM Asset Management. Prior to this, he was a full member of the investment committee at Edinburgh Partners, recently acquired by Franklin Templeton.
