IQ-EQ has appointed Gareth Smith as Head of Fund Operations in Guernsey.
Gareth has extensive fund administration and private equity experience across the Channel Islands.
He has most recently led the operations team at Ocorian. Prior to that, he spent two and a half years with Apex Group, initially as Head of Channel Islands, then becoming Head of Private Equity, Europe.
He started his career with EY in Jersey in 2004 and has also spent nine years with R&H Fund Services.
Gareth has broad experience of alternative asset classes and open-ended funds and has sat on several client boards in these sectors.
In his new role, he will provide overall leadership for the funds business in Guernsey, while managing, building and developing partnerships with new and existing clients and intermediaries.
