Deputy Kristina Moore_aug22The IoD in Jersey has announced details of its second Leaders’ Lunch of 2022, which features the new Chief Minister of Jersey, Deputy Kristina Moore, as the guest of honour.

The event – which takes place from 12.15pm to 2.15pm on Friday 23 September at the Royal Yacht Hotel – will be introduced by IoD Jersey Chair Natasha Egré.

Deputy Moore will then speak to the audience, after which IoD Jersey Vice Chair Simon Soar will conduct a Q&A session.

Deputy Moore entered politics in Jersey in 2011, after a career in broadcast journalism with the BBC and Channel Television.

She spent almost seven years as Home Affairs Minister in the Government of Jersey and has served as a Senator since June 2018, chairing two key scrutiny committees.

After being elected as Jersey’s first female Chief Minister this year, she was also able to nominate the first gender-balanced Council of Ministers.

Natasha Egré, Chair IoD Jersey, said: “Now, perhaps more than ever before in our recent history, Jersey needs strong and representative leadership to guide us through the current and upcoming economic, environmental and societal challenges we are facing.

"This is an excellent opportunity for the business community to hear first hand from our new Chief Minister and to ask their questions.”
