The Channel Islands' leading advisor on Guernsey image rights, Collas Crill, has appointed intellectual property expert and commercial lawyer Kate Storey (pictured) to its legal team.
Kate, who has joined the firm as a senior associate, sat on the States of Guernsey's advisory committees for Guernsey's new image rights law.
An Advocate with broad experience in financial services, investment funds and regulatory law, Kate also specialises in advising on complex, multi-jurisdictional lending and security transactions, establishment and regulation of funds, activist investor actions, restructurings on insolvency, and outsourcing of functions.
Kate has practised as a finance and funds lawyer in Guernsey for six years and before that she was a commercial solicitor with a specialism in intellectual property at Cobbetts in Manchester.
Her practice at Collas Crill will include banking, corporate, funds and regulatory law, as well as intellectual property.
Kate's appointment to Collas Crill further expands the largest specialist intellectual property legal team in Guernsey as the Island launches its ground-breaking image rights legislation.
Kate joins an experienced team led by Collas Crill partner Jason Romer, described by Legal 500 as 'one of Guernsey's thought leaders in IP' and David Evans, Director of Collas Crill IP, the island's only IP registration and management company.
