Guernsey IoD names Bob Moore as Vice Chair

Bob Moore_IoD_aug21The Institute of Directors' Guernsey Branch has appointed Bob Moore as Vice Chair, taking over from John Clacy. 
 
Bob has been a member of the IoD for more than 20 years and involved in the financial services industry, in Guernsey and internationally, for more than 40 years. 
 
From 1979 to 1997, he held positions with Lloyds Bank in South America, the US, UK and Luxembourg. This included responsibility for Lloyds’ international private banking operations in New York and Luxembourg.  

Moving to Guernsey in 1997, Bob oversaw the Butterfield Group’s operations on the island, becoming Executive Vice President and Head of Group Trust in June 2011.

He retired from Butterfield in March 2020 and has been a Director of several other Guernsey banks and investment companies.

Bob served as a Commissioner of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission from 2012 to January this year. 

He is also a past chair of the Guernsey International Business Association, the Association of Guernsey Banks and the International Bankers Association, as well as a past Director of Guernsey Finance LBG.
