Deloitte has added to its Channel Islands tax practice with the appointment of Rupert Lee as a Senior Tax Manager, based in the Jersey office.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Rupert spent two years with KPMG's tax practice in London, where he undertook tax due diligence and advisory engagements for financial services and private equity clients.
He previously spent six years working for KPMG in Jersey, undertaking corporate tax compliance and advisory engagements for a variety of banking and trust company clients.
In his new role, Rupert's primary area of responsibility will be to oversee Deloitte’s Jersey corporate tax advisory and compliance engagements, including helping clients to comply with the new economic substance legislation.
The firm says the appointment recognises opportunities for growth in the Channel Islands tax practice, responding to global trends including increased corporate, social and tax responsibilities and transparency.
