Patrick Palmer-Collas Crill
Collas Crill has announced the retirement of respected Guernsey advocate Patrick Palmer after 40 years in practice.

Patrick was a partner at the Guernsey firm since 2004, when it merged with Winter, Palmer & Denziloe where he had been a partner since 1977. Advocate Palmer was admitted to the English Bar in 1972, the Guernsey Bar in 1975 and was appointed Notary Public in 1990.

Collas Crill's head of property and private client services, Jason Green, said: "Of course we have mixed feelings about Patrick's retirement – he is a longtime partner of Collas Crill and a significant figure in legal circles in Guernsey, and will be much missed. But we are very happy that, as he hangs up his tocque, he is entering a new chapter in his life and we wish him every happiness in his retirement."

During his career Advocate Palmer gained wide and varied experience in private client and property work, including contentious trusts and probate, estate administration, wills and inheritance and private trusts. He built his reputation on dealing with domestic property matters.

Advocate Palmer is a Guernseyman who was educated at Elizabeth College before he completed his training in London. He has a wife and three children.

He is chairman of the charity 'Grow Limited', which operates a horticultural project training and employing people with a learning disability, which he intends to continue supporting into retirement, along with other personal projects.
