Bedell Cristin has appointed Joanne Verbiesen as a Partner in its Singapore office.
A specialist private client and litigation lawyer, Joanne also has substantial offshore experience.
She joins from HSBC in Hong Kong, where she was a Senior Legal Counsel in the trust and fiduciary services business.
Prior to that, she worked in senior positions for Walkers in the Cayman Islands and for Harneys in Hong Kong.
A New Zealand qualified attorney with 16 years’ post-qualification experience, Joanne specialises in commercial litigation, contentious and non-contentious trusts and estates work, offshore corporate law, insolvency and restructuring.
She was admitted in New Zealand and Cayman, is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong and Singapore, and also has experience in the Caribbean.
In her new role, Joanne will work Bedell Cristin's other offices, especially in the Cayman Islands and the BVI.
