Babbé has appointed Ann Halliday as Counsel in its corporate team and Kim Manley as Senior Associate in the trust and private client team in Guernsey.
Ann started her career in banking and later qualified as an English solicitor and has gained more than 20 years’ experience in corporate, banking and finance law.
She joins Babbé with extensive experience in Guernsey’s legal sector, having worked for offshore law firms for 14 years. These have included eight years with Ogier, five with Bedell Cristin and most recently a spell as Legal Counsel with Investec Bank.
In her new role at Babbé, Ann will advise on a wide range of corporate, banking and finance transactions.
Meanwhile, Kim brings a wealth of experience in a variety of practice areas, including private client and trusts, wills and estates and charitable trusts.
Her career has included almost 10 years in Zimbabwe, with law firm Matizanadzo & Warhurst, and more recently in the UK with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and as a self-employed legal consultant.
Her new role at Babbé will focus on non-contentious trusts, with additional involvement in probate and commercial property work.
