Adam Budworth takes over as President of Jersey Chamber

Adam Budworth_JerseyChamber_aug22The Jersey Chamber of Commerce has appointed Adam Budworth, Managing Director of Grant Thornton Channel Islands, as its new President. 

He succeeds Jennifer Carnegie, Chief Operating Officer of Amicus, who steps down today after completing her three-year term. 

Adam has served as Honorary Treasurer of the Chamber since 2017. 

He commented: "As the largest independent business organisation in Jersey, Chamber has a responsibility to represent the views of the business community on issues that affect businesses in Jersey. 

"Having Chamber support its members in recovering from the economic impact caused by Covid-19, and aspiring to growth and prosperity despite the economic challenges that face us all, is of vital importance.”

In addition, management consultant and retail specialist Daphne East has been appointed as Vice President of the Chamber, taking over from John Shenton who has held the role for the past three years.

Daphne will also Chair the Chamber Retail and Supply Committee. 

The Chamber's newly appointed Treasurer is Tim Barnes, Chief Financial Officer at Jersey Post.
