Outsourcing the many and varied tasks that fall under the heading of Human Resources to competent professionals is on the increase if the growth in Becky Hill's business, HR Now, is anything to go by.

Having recruited Jeff McGarry less than a year ago, Becky has recently welcomed Liz Hobden (pictured top) and Sian Phillips (pictured bottom) to her team. Both Liz and Sian bring a breadth and depth of experience in all aspects of HR management, gained over careers that span many years and a variety of sectors.

Formerly Country HR Manager (Channel Islands and Falklands) with Standard Chartered Bank, Liz Hobden is an impressive change manager with particular enthusiasm for employee relations, performance and talent management, employee development and staff engagement. During her time with the bank she also had responsibility for the HR needs of 100 staff in the firm's Private Bank in London for 18 months.

Siân Phillips, also part time HR Consultant for an international fiduciary services business headquartered in Jersey, has been a CIPD committee member and part-time tutor for CIPD qualifications at Highlands College for several years. Her career in HR started in the eighties with a large, international retailer and over the years her work with companies in the legal, accountancy, banking and hospitality sectors has contributed to her comprehensive technical knowledge and expertise. Siân is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.

Becky Hill, who founded the business in April 2009 said: “I'm naturally delighted to see my business flourishing, especially in such a challenging economic climate. The demand for flexible, freelance HR support keeps growing. Many local businesses have no in-house resource at all, and those that do often find they need additional support when their HR team is juggling too many major projects at once. We help with everything from providing the HR toolkit (contracts, handbooks etc.) and assisting with employee relations issues to the more complex areas of employment law, mediation, restructuring and redundancy. Liz and Sian are extremely experienced professionals and I'm very pleased they have joined. Between the four of us we have well over a hundred years' collective expertise in this field and I don't believe there's an aspect of it we're not well very equipped to support.”
