Stonehage Fleming has made two senior appointments, promoting Richard Stride to Head of Family Office Jersey and recruiting Bruce Sinclair as Trustee Director in the Jersey family office division.
Richard (pictured right) acts as a trusted adviser to wealthy international families. For the past 14 years, he has assisted in their day-to-day needs on succession, governance and complex wealth requirements.
He joined the Stonehage Fleming Group in 2007 and was Head of the Family Office Division in Johannesburg before moving to the Jersey office in 2017.
He succeeds Ana Ventura, who will now serve as a trustee and key adviser to several of Stonehage Fleming’s high-net-worth international families.
Meanwhile, Bruce (pictured left), who has 12 years’ legal experience, joins from Standard Bank, where he has served as Head of Legal for the trust and fiduciary services offshore division, joining in 2017.
As the leader of the fiduciary legal unit, he provided fiduciary- and risk-related legal advice and support to its front office in relation to the administration of trusts and company structures.
During his career, Bruce has also worked as a lawyer at Carey Olsen, qualifying from Dickson Minto.
He will work with clients, advisers, co-trustees and other divisions and business units in the Stonehage Fleming group and act on the firm’s board of the Jersey and British Virgin Islands Corporate Directors and Trustees.
He is based in Jersey and reports to Richard Stride.
