PraxisIFM Group has appointed Iain Torrens as Chairman and a Non-Executive Director.
Iain will be based in the UK, where he will retain his role as Chief Executive Officer of investment firm Faro Capital.
A Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, Iain has held a number of senior positions in listed and private businesses across sectors ranging from industrial and shipping to financial services and telecoms.
Prior to Faro Capital, Iain served as Chief Financial Officer for Talk Talk.
He also spent eight years in senior roles at global inter-broker dealer ICAP. He was a member of ICAP’s board, as well as its audit and risk committees, and chaired the group operating committee and group risk and capital committee.
Iain has taken over the chairmanship of PraxisIFM from Andrew Haining, who has held the position for four years.
