Pensions best practice to be discussed at Collas Crill seminar

Posted: 31/10/2013

A pensions expert from the UK will discuss developments in UK pensions law, including the closure of defined benefits schemes, pension liberation and issues arising on divorce at a Collas Crill seminar next week.

An audience of directors, managers, HR professionals and others from some of Guernsey's largest employers will join Collas Crill's pensions team and speaker Rosalind Connor, pensions specialist and partner at London law firm Taylor Wessing, on 6 November.

Collas Crill's pensions specialist Karen Farman said: "The seminar will be of particular interest to local employers with final salary schemes, especially given the proposals to move Guernsey's States workers from a final salary pension scheme to a career average revalued earnings scheme. With much recent publicity in the UK on the issue of pension liberation the seminar will also be of particular interest to those administering both local and international pension schemes."

Rosalind Connor has many years experience advising companies, trustees and administrators on the issues relating to the management and closure of pension schemes, as well as the issues that arise in relation to pensions on transactions and restructuring.

Limited spaces are available at the seminar, which is open to both employers and administrators. It will take place at Collas Crill, Glategny Court, St Peter Port on Wednesday, 6 November. Registration at 12:15pm, seminar starts at 12:30pm. Close at 1:30pm.

To book please email claire.wilcox@collascrill.com, places at this free event are limited and reserved on a first come first served basis only. Light lunch refreshments will be available.
