Posted: 13/05/2021

Ocorian has assisted insurance and asset management firm Generali to buy a stake in Ridemovi, which operates micro-mobility services in 17 Italian and Spanish cities.

Thomas Fahl, Managing Director at Ocorian Fund Management, said “We are delighted to be able to facilitate this transaction for our long-term client Generali, and support the continued investment in research and innovation in urban vehicles and services."

With a fleet of already 30,000 bicycles, e-bikes and e-scooters, the entry of Generali will allow Ridemovi to extend the fleet to around 70,000 units, strengthening its position in Italy and Spain and opening new markets in Europe and outside the EU.

The growth of the fleet will mainly focus on electric vehicles, offering a solution for urban mobility with low greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants.
