Nancy Chien to lead Bedell Cristin Jersey IPC team

NancyChien_BedellCristin_jan21Bedell Cristin has appointed Partner Nancy Chien as Head of International Private Client in Jersey, taking over from Edward Bennett, who has held the role for a number of years.

Nancy has been with the firm since 2012. Prior to joining Bedell Cristin, she acted as a consultant to the States of Jersey. This followed an earlier career with Ashurst in London and Carey Olsen in Jersey, as well as several years in New Zealand.

She advises on all aspects of Jersey trusts, foundations and related corporate law issues, and has broad experience advising on complex restructurings, the establishment and ongoing operations of private trust companies, use of settlor reserved powers and the role of protectors.

In the corporate area, Nancy has experience in pensions and employee incentive arrangements. She is currently the Chairperson of the Jersey Pensions Association and is working with the Jersey Government to enhance Jersey's offering of end-of-service gratuity plans and international savings vehicles.
