Maples and Calder, the Maples Group's law firm, has recruited Tim Morgan to its Jersey office as a Partner.
With over 17 years' experience in the Jersey investment funds market, Tim has acted on funds transactions across various asset classes, including private equity, venture, growth, real estate and credit. He has worked with an institutional client base of US, UK and European clients.
After an early career with Taylor Wessing, PwC and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Tim went on to spend 12 years with Ogier and five with Mourant.
He currently serves as Chair of the Jersey Funds Association and, in recent years, has played a key role in Jersey's Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive regime.
He has also been involved in responding to OECD BEPs issues and formulating Jersey's economic substance regime.
In his new role, Tim will work with Jersey funds and investment management specialist Simon Hopwood to develop the firm's practice.
