Jersey consults on AEOI regulations

Posted: 19/02/2024

The Minister for External Relations, Deputy Ian Gorst, is seeking views on proposed changes to the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and FATCA regulations – together referred to as the AEOI regulations.

The changes are intended to ensure that Jersey's legal framework for the CRS remains fully in line with global expectations, and to address industry concerns abou?t a potential lack of clarity on how certain penalties are imposed under the CRS and FATCA regulations.

Responses to the consultation will inform changes to the regulations to be considered by the States Assembly this summer.

The consultation will end on 18 March. To submit comments either email tax.policy@gov.je with the subject heading AEOI Consultation or post to Tax Policy Unit, AEOI Consultation, 19-21 Broad Street, St Helier JE2 3RR.
