JDC appoints Carolyn Dwyer to board

Carolyn Dwyer_JDC_may21The States of Jersey Development Company (JDC) has appointed Carolyn Dwyer as a Non-Executive Director to the board and Fiona Smith as the company’s first board apprentice.

Until recently, Carolyn’s role was Director of Built Environment for the City of London, working to maintain the international competitiveness of the City through the development of buildings, public realm, transport, digital and infrastructure systems.

Carolyn was also responsible for developing a policy framework for planning in the City, which included spatial allocation, transport, environment, housing, culture, security, climate resistance and digital infrastructure.

In addition, Fiona Smith, Head of Business Management and Governance for Economy within the Government of Jersey, will join JDC board meetings over the next 12 months as a board apprentice. 

This is part of the government's I WILL programme to support and inspire more women into leadership roles and provide hands-on board experience for local applicants.
