Investor services group IQ-EQ has made three senior appointments to its Group Technology team – William Harris as Chief Digital Officer, Shezad Khan as Head of Data and Analytics, and Vikas Sharma as Head of Engineering.
William, a specialist in IT business strategy and technology transformation, has hands-on experience of developing and implementing digital strategies across organisations in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and US. Prior to joining IQ-EQ, he was Director and Head of Intelligent Automation and AI for the EMEA region with ISG.
In his new role, William will oversee IQ-EQ’s group-wide automation strategy, driving client capability through intelligent and robotic process automation, internal data analytics and business digitisation.
Shezad has led cross-functional teams focused on data and advanced analytics. He has spent the past three years as Global Head of Advanced Analytics for HSBC, leading the development of machine learning solutions for risk management purposes. He also led the R&D function delivering end-to-end information and knowledge systems.
As Head of Data and Analytics, Shezad will help define and drive IQ-EQ’s data strategy, expanding how the group uses technologies such as AI and machine learning to collate, analyse and report data for its clients and internal efficiency needs.
Vikas is a software engineering and product management specialist with extensive experience in tech innovation, software development, product delivery and managing large and complex technology programmes on a global scale.
He has significant expertise in front- and back-office investment banking technologies through previous roles with UBS and Morgan Stanley.
Before joining IQ-EQ, Vikas was Head of Technology for Smart Currency Exchange, focused on the company’s foreign exchange platform.
In his new role, Vikas will manage the development of client service and internal software solutions. He will oversee the delivery of secure and scalable systems and drive service capability for the group by building, deploying and supporting systems.
