Hawksford appoints Richard Summerfield as Chief People Officer

Richard Summerfield_Hawksford_jan21Hawksford has appointed Richard Summerfield as its Chief People Officer. 

As a consultant to Hawksford, Richard has served as interim Chief People Officer since August 2020, but he has recently been appointed to the role on a permanent basis.

Richard brings to the firm 20 years of international human resources experience. He recently served as Chief People Officer at Ocorian and a member of its Executive Board, and has led RJS Consultancy for the past year. 

Earlier in his career, Richard worked in business advisory positions with Zurich and Barclays. He also served as Group Head of Talent Development at Ogier and has held directorships with JT, Standard Bank and Certus Solutions.

In his new role, Richard has strategic and operational responsibility for Hawksford’s people function and all related HR activities for nearly 450 staff across Europe and Asia. 

His focus will be the integration of acquisitions, hybrid working, employee experience, recruitment, employee development and performance management, as well as employee benefits and rewards.

Richard is a founding Council Member of the Jersey Good Business Charter and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
