Digital Jersey to host SME workshop

Posted: 16/05/2016

Digital Jersey is hosting a workshop during Jersey Business Enterprise Week 2016, to raise awareness among small and medium-sized businesses about the opportunities and challenges of technology and how firms can adapt to technological changes.

Entitled 'A technology strategy for the future', the free-to-attend evening will include presentations from Voisins Department Store owner Gerald Voisin and Barclays Bank Jersey Head of Offshore and Local Corporates Neil McCluskey.

Gerald Voisin will explain how he has adapted Voisins to current digital trends since taking over in 1993, while Neil McCluskey will discuss how Barclays’ Digital Eagles project can help individuals and small businesses use technology.

Graeme Smith, CEO of Jersey Business, said: "We know how important it is for organisations to implement technology appropriate for their business … but having the confidence to learn about technology and bring it into the workplace is often a barrier. This event will be a platform for people to share knowledge and gain the confidence they need to introduce a new system or platform and transform how their business operates."

The workshop will take place on 19 May from 5pm to 7pm at the Digital Hub. To register click here
