Collas Crill
Leading Guernsey law firm, Collas Crill, is the new sponsor for the STEP Guernsey Branch evening and lunchtime lecture series for 2013.

STEP Guernsey has been running regular monthly lectures for many years as part of its commitment to offering members working in the fiduciary industry ready access to excellent education and training opportunities.

STEP Guernsey Branch chairman, Paul Hodgson, said that both series form an important part of the Branch's work to maintain and improve standards in the fiduciary sector in Guernsey.

“The series are both extremely popular with STEP members looking to hear high calibre speakers talking on topics of direct relevance to their work.

“Collas Crill's involvement secures the future of these seminars and gives STEP Guernsey the opportunity to continue to provide the best speakers available and continue our aims of up-skilling trust practitioners in the island.”

Collas Crill head of business development, Iain Beresford, said supporting STEP Guernsey was logical for the firm.

“As a leading law firm, with an international client base, Collas Crill sees the opportunity to contribute to the thinking and education of trust practitioners as a worthwhile exercise.”

“Our private clients have come to expect a high standard of experience and expertise from the trust practitioners in the island so for Collas Crill to be able to be involved in ensuring this reputation continues, through STEP Guernsey's excellent lecture series, is something we were only too pleased to be able to do.”

The evening lecture series for 2013 starts on Thursday 10 January with a seminar on looking at the requirements and implementation of anti-bribery and corruption legislation and procedures with Stephen Trevor, from Le Marchant Regulatory Risk, as guest speaker.
