Collas Crill has again made an excellent showing in Chambers UK 2013, launched 1 November
2012, improving on rankings in a number of areas.
Quick turnaround, promptness of response, approachability and thoroughness were all
highlighted as traits across the firm in both jurisdictions. It was noted that "the standard of
excellence delivered by Collas Crill's team is absolutely without compare."
In Guernsey Ian Kirk, Gareth Bell, Jason Romer and Paul Wilkes were all ranked, with the latter
3 all climbing a rank since last year.
In Jersey, too, Nuno Santos-Costa, Damian James and David Dorgan were all ranked as
leading lawyers in their respective fields. One client stated Damian James, Partner in Dispute
Resolution, was "without a doubt my best asset". David Dorgan was recognised for the first
time as an Associate to watch having demonstrated "excellent knowledge, negotiation skills
and a solution orientated approach"
In Guernsey the Dispute Resolution team jumped to Tier 2. Partner Gareth Bell was noted for
his "utter command of the issues" while Head of Department, Christian Hay was recognised as
"hard working, tactically shrewd and good on his feet in court"
Corporate & Finance teams in both Guernsey and Jersey jumped up to tier 2 in their
respective jurisdictions. Partner Paul Wilkes in Guernsey was described as "a first class lawyer
with a proactive approach" while Head of Department, Ian Kirk was noted for his "guidance on
a very quick turnaround basis". The Jersey team was recognised for its "excellent local
reputations" and for being "approachable and very commercial in the solutions they propose"
