Guernsey's leading image rights specialist, Jason Romer (pictured), will address a specialist audience of advisors to the world's top entertainment and sportspeople next month. Mr Romer, a partner at Channel Islands law firm Collas Crill, will present the uses and benefits of Guernsey's image rights legislation at the IBC event in London on 7 February. The private client tax planning for entertainers and sportspeople event is the definitive update on strategic tax and finance planning for sports stars, performers, artists and entertainers' investment strategies and wealth management. Mr Romer said: "This conference is one of the premier events for private client advisers in the entertainment and sports world. "I will be presenting the options available to sports stars and entertainers, through their advisers, that Guernsey's new image rights legislation presents." He will guide delegates through the rationale of the legislation, what the registration process involved, potential structures and uses. Mr Romer is a thought leader in Guernsey image rights, having been instrumental in the creation and design of the ground breaking new law which came into force at the end of 2012.
