Channel Islands law firm Collas Crill is continuing to invest in its fiduciary practice with the appointment of a new partner to its Jersey office.

Mason Birbeck (pictured) joined Collas Crill on 1 June from Bedell Cristin.

Mason is a Jersey Advocate specialising in trusts, foundations and related corporate law. He has considerable experience advising a range of trust companies, banking institutions, international law firms and high-net worth individuals on the establishment and operation of Jersey private trusts, charitable and non-charitable purpose trusts, pension trusts, EBTs, foundations, family limited partnerships and private trust companies.

Mason has extensive practical knowledge of trust and related corporate and commercial aspects of international wealth structuring in cross-border transactions involving Jersey and other international finance centres. He also regularly works alongside dispute resolution colleagues to provide integrated advice in relation to trust and corporate litigation.

He said: “Collas Crill's impressive growth over the past 12 months is a testament to its forward thinking and dynamic approach. These qualities, combined with an excellent reputation for high quality, good value service, will enable us to consolidate and develop the fiduciary team's success."

Collas Crill's managing partner Jason Romer said: “Mason is an invaluable addition to our fiduciary team. He brings significant local knowledge and experience to complement the London-focused and international angle provided to the Collas Crill team by another recent senior recruit, Edward Stone. Mason's appointment adds yet further strength and depth to our fiduciary team and we are confident he will impress with his thoughtful and client-focused approach.”
