Collas Crill advised JTC Group on its acquisition of Ardel Trust Company (Switzerland) SA (ATCSA) based in Geneva. ATCSA is a full-service trust company providing foundation, company and trustee services. ATCSA's 13 staff are joining the JTC Group and the business will continue to operate from its Geneva offices. Nigel Le Quesne, Group CEO and Chairman of JTC Group, said: “This latest acquisition is part of our broader international growth strategy and complements other deals completed this year, including the purchase of Ardel Holdings Limited's third-party fund administration business in Guernsey, the opening of a representative office in the USA and a significant strategic alliance in Asia.” Collas Crill's legal team was led by Sean Cheong, a partner from Collas Crill's Guernsey office, assisted by Wayne Atkinson and Kit Hobbs and supported by the corporate team of Collas Crill in Singapore. Sean Cheong said: "We were delighted to be able to assist JTC in its expansion plans. This transaction was of great interest for its cross-border implications involving, amongst others, Guernsey and Switzerland. Transactions such as this demonstrate Collas Crill's approach to clients and businesses with international reach."
