Carey Olsen has continued to make “impressive progress” alongside major UK and international law firms, moving into the top five for the total number of London stock market (LSE) clients it advises, according to the most recent (Q2 2012) All Market edition of the Morningstar Professional Services Rankings Guide.

According to the guide, “Carey Olsen produced the biggest gains in the stock market rankings”. This underlines the firm's position at the top of the offshore tables for LSE-listed clients.

Carey Olsen also retains its position as the leading offshore legal adviser to AIM market clients, ranking second overall. Furthermore, it is also the only offshore law firm in the top five for both total number of AIM clients and total market capitalisation.

The latest statistics show that Carey Olsen was one of only two firms in the overall report to gain clients in the FTSE 250 sector, bringing the firm well within the top 20.

John Kelleher (pictured), Chairman of Carey Olsen said: “Carey Olsen continues to break new ground for offshore firms in these rankings. Our movement into the top five is especially impressive and has been a result of our continued vision to grow and develop our client offering in this area and win new business.”

The All Market Edition of the Morningstar Professional Services Rankings Guide lists institutional advisers and their quoted clients. Companies are drawn from UK and Channel Island domiciled companies with equity shares fully listed on the LSE, and UK companies with equity shares that are listed on AIM. The information contained within the report is drawn from a variety of LSE sources together with updates made by the advisers themselves with authorisation from clients.
