Carey Olsen makes senior promotions

MatthewEcobichon_CO_jul19Carey Olsen has made five senior promotions across its Jersey and London offices.
Matthew Ecobichon (pictured) and London-based Colin Masterton have been promoted to Counsel, while Sophie Hancock (pictured below), Oliver Lindop and David Patterson have all been promoted to Senior Associate.
Matthew, a member of the Jersey corporate team, advises clients, including international law firms and global institutions, on structured finance transactions and high-yield issuances, as well as transactions involving eurobonds and other listed securities.
Colin has been with Carey Olsen since 2007 and is a member of the Jersey corporate team, operating from the firm's London office. He specialises in corporate real estate and investment fund matters, and has acted on a wide range of transactions involving Jersey vehicles for leading banks, private equity houses and FTSE 100 companies.
SophieHancock_CO_jul19Sophie joined the firm in 2006 and is a member of the Jersey corporate team. She has gained significant experience in advising funds, fund service providers and fund promoters on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues to do with Jersey investment funds and investment structures.
Oliver joined in 2014 and specialises in advising Jersey businesses on regulatory compliance matters and international sanctions. A member of the firm's dispute resolution and litigation team, he also has significant recent experience of high-value trust litigation and asset recovery disputes.
Finally, David, a member of the corporate team in Jersey, specialises in corporate structuring and finance. During his time with the firm, he has developed considerable expertise in advising parties to large-scale cross-border investments, including funds, through the use of special-purpose corporate vehicles, partnerships and trusts.
