Stuart Tucker and Dale Acton_Boatworks_may22Guernsey marine services and chandlery business Boatworks has reorganised its management team as it continues to implement its development strategy following its acquisition by local businessman Peter Tom in June 2021.

General Manager Stuart Tucker has been appointed Managing Director. His new role adds responsibility for the company’s external engagement, particularly with local government and business groups focused on the quayside’s regeneration and growing the local maritime economy.

Stuart joined Boatworks at the end of last year following 15 years with Guernsey Electricity, latterly as a Contracting Manager.

Meanwhile, Dale Acton has been named Executive Director, supporting Stuart on day-to-day operations to oversee customer service and technical support.

Dale founded marine services business SeaScape last summer, which he continues to run. Prior to that, he spent almost 14 years with Ravenscroft as Head of Trading on the stockbroking desk in Guernsey, moving to Monaco when Tavira Ravenscroft opened in 2018.
