Boutique law firm Amati Law has been launched in Jersey this week, specialising in regulatory, corporate and commercial, private client and trust, and property matters.
The firm is led by Managing Partner James Mews (pictured), who has spent the past four and a half years as Counsel at Pinel Advocates.
During his 20-year career, James has also led legal teams at the States of Jersey and the Jersey Financial Services Commission. He currently chairs the International Banking Forum.
James is joined at Amati by Counsel Simon Walker and Senior Associate Kate Hamilton.
Simon has worked across the Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Cayman Islands, Luxembourg, US and South Africa. He specialises in risk management and mitigation, with a focus on dispute resolution, data protection and private client issues.
Kate has spent the past five years as an Associate at Pinel Advocates, assisting in a range of corporate, commercial, property, trust and fund matters.
