The Organisation:
Our client, a provider of tailored trust, fiduciary, fund and corporate services, is looking for a Manager to join their Operations team.

The Role:
Responsibilities include:
Manage, plan and control assigned new projects within and across department(s) and functions, to achieve a successful implementation, delivering on time and within budget.
Contribute to the development and management of local IT Strategy by identifying information systems and solutions appropriate to the business in line with departmental requirements, the overall plan and strategic objectives of the organisation.
Direct the project tender process, proposal evaluation and contract agreements including defining technical system specifications, acceptance testing and training.
Direct the staff involved in the conversion, site planning and preparation and implementation for the project in order to achieve the most cost effective solutions and control the effectiveness of the implementation, ensuring compliance with company’s policies, contractual, procedural, accounting and technical standards.
Undertake post-implementation reviews to determine if the projected business benefits for the project have been realised and make recommendations to ensure effective future delivery of projects within the organisation.
Review all department procedures on a regular basis ensuring all staff have a firm understanding of what is required from them.
Be a critical contributor to the administration and management of FATCA & CRS tax compliance program.

The Person:
You will possess the following key characteristics:
Works under broad direction from the Managing Director. Accepts full accountability for own work and project/supervisory responsibilities. Able to establish own milestones, team objectives and delegate assignments.
Able to apply fundamental principles in a wide and often unpredictable range of contexts.
Understands relationships between Operations / Project Management and wider business and organisational requirements.
Making decisions at the appropriate time, taking into account the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and the availability of necessary information.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to influence and challenge, if necessary, and to establish relationships and maintaining contacts with colleagues from within the local and wider organisation.
The ability to produce written reports, procedures, and guidelines to a high standard.
Initiative, sound judgement and maturity are essential as well as the need to respect confidentiality and act at all times with discretion.
Organisational skills, combined with an ability to prioritise, whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy are essential in order to manage conflicting deadlines.
Minimum of 3 years project management experience
Proficient in principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation.
Proficient in methods and techniques associated with planning and monitoring progress of projects. e.g. product/work breakdown structures, critical path analysis, earned value, resource analysis, conflict resolution.
Familiar with automated tools to assist in the project management process, by automating mechanical tasks such as scheduling, resource balancing, and time recording. EG: PMW, Microsoft PROJECT.
Familiar with techniques which help in modelling and understanding a business and its operation.
Familiar with methods and techniques for delivering effective presentations and writing effective reports.
Hold a Project Management qualification (e.g. accredited PRINCE2 practitioner).
