[6221] - Head of Client Compliance - Maven Partners

The Organisation:
Our client, an international organisation grouping of professional firms, is looking for a Head of Client Compliance to join their team.

The Role:
Responsibilities include:
General day to day oversight of client compliance matters, including the identification and delivery of training to any junior members of the team and ongoing analysis of duties undertaken.
Act as CO/MLCO/MLRO where required.
Lead the delivery of key regulatory correspondence and reports such as the Compliance Monitoring Plan, the annual Business Risk Assessment and regular compliance reports for the clients, including the escalation and tracking of any findings.
Ongoing analysis of the effectiveness and adequacy of documented Policies & Procedures, ensuring any changes to the regulatory environment are sufficiently considered and revised requirements implemented via the internal change management process.
Provision of support and guidance to the clients on applicable regulatory and AML issues.
Ongoing analysis of the effectiveness and adequacy of client compliance solutions provided by the organisation.
Act as a compliance representative at client board meetings as and when required.
Oversight of all client Compliance & Risk Registers (including breaches, complaints and errors) ensuring events are recorded, monitored, and reported to Senior Management where necessary.
Supervision of any ad hoc tasks and projects being undertaken by the client compliance function in support of the wider business, i.e. AML/CDD Projects.
Supervision of on-site due diligence reviews of third party services providers for the clients and the production of written reports and recommendations resulting from the same.

The Person:
You will possess the following key characteristics:
A minimum of 5 years compliance experience in a senior compliance role.
Extensive knowledge of a funds environment.
Professional Compliance Qualification at Diploma level.
Highly organised and self-sufficient but with the ability to work as a team player.
Ability to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly.
Excellent level of understanding of the Jersey regulatory environment and previous experience of dealing with the JFSC.
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
A high level of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality is essential due to the nature of the work.
Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel.
Flexible, with the ability to work to time pressures and react calmly to changing demands.
