[5969] - Internal Audit Assistant Manager - Maven Partners

The Organisation:
Our client, an accountancy and business advisory firm, is looking for an Internal Audit Assistant Manager to join their internal audit teams.

The Role:
Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will manage internal audit teams and assignments of moderate complexity and variety in line with the audit plan.
Deliver Internal Audit assignments, which may involve benchmarking systems and processes, and making recommendations for improvement.
Responsible for the planning and scheduling of individual assignments.
Prioritise work so resources are devoted to areas of highest risk in line with the audit needs assessment.
Manage department activities and client relationships on a day to day basis; ensuring excellent client services is delivered at all times.
Manage individuals to ensure that work is completed on time and to the highest quality.
Exhibit creativity and innovation in recommending improvements to audit practices, processes and client service.
Identify and recognise new project and business opportunities.
Prepare and deliver Audit files for Manager’s review within deadlines and maintains high standards of documentation.

The Person:
You will possess the following key characteristics:
Relevant internal audit experience.
ACA qualified (or equivalent qualification) and CIA qualified.
Awareness of compliance, legislative and market issues relevant to client business.
Desirable - public sector IA experience.
Self motivated.
Able to work to tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
Team player.
Excellent report writing skills.
Ability to ‘think out of the box’.
