[KR11127] - *Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Telecommunication’s*- Jersey or London based - Kendrick Rose

In this Group role the Chief Finance Officer will play a critical leadership role in the development and growth of the Telecom Group. The CFO will provide quantitative thought leadership to the Chief Executive Officer and the Exco when making high-impact decisions aimed at improving corporate value. Manage and cultivate existing and new relationships with financiers and corporate institutions as well current and perspective clients. The CFO will work closely with the CEO to identify new opportunities and challenges for the business.

The CFO will also be expected to play a greater role in all areas of the business, analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and engaging in these functions from a strategic perspective. As part of this, the CFO will also continue to lead the effort to develop the financial infrastructure of a $650m+ business. Finally, the person will sit on the executive team of the Group and must play an active role in managing the overall business.

Our client needs an analytical person driven by targets and goal achievement, with the ability both to look across the full P&L and delve into detail as necessary.

You must be able to build and manage a team and to develop and sustain relationships with a range of people inside and outside of the business and maintain and improve those relationships, the majority of which will be with people based in other countries, provide and contribute insights and learnings into the broader organisation in order to enable the Group to make informed, commercial decisions. It is a necessity that you are a self-starter, ready to get on with the job and make the position their own

The position can either be based in their central London office or Jersey Channel Islands with regular travel required to Africa.

Experience/ Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance – MBA or graduate degree is a plus but not required if experience combines with curiosity/drive compensate
 ICAEW or equivalent certification
 15+ years of commercial and financial management experience - preferably for an innovative TMT SECTOR
 Proven success managing a large financial team with revenue ($600,000,000+)
 Experience in supporting an IPO/ listing transaction would be beneficial
 Experience of Pan African Telco / Technology Operations is highly desirable but not essential
 Proven track record of delivering sound financial support to a high growth business
 Proven measureable impact on key business metrics
 Proven ability to manage, recruit, and motivate a strong team
 Growth orientated Executive - not just a senior accountant
 Strong FP&A ability
 Exceptional ability to communicate verbally and in writing
 Strong attention to detail and organisation
 Experience dealing with Financial Regulators
 Experience in early stage, high growth companies is a big plus
 Broad understanding of telecom services / technology.
 Broad understanding of customer needs; business cases and how customers use our technology.
