Fiduciary services provider Zedra has acquired London-based global expansion consultancy Fitzgerald & Law (F&L).
As part of the transaction, Zedra will also acquire the Global Expansion Advisory Network, which F&L co-founded.
GEA Network operates in more than 70 countries and F&L’s continued membership will allow companies expanding into countries other than the UK to receive the same level of support.
Founded in 1992 in London, F&L started life as a traditional UK accounting practice. It now has offices in Târgoviste, Romania, and San Francisco, US, as well as London.
In addition to offering expansion advice to companies setting up in the UK, F&L provides tax, HR and financial compliance services to support firms as they grow.
According to Zedra, the acquisition will increase its reach into US technology companies. F&L focuses on helping US companies establish and grow a UK presence, as well as advising businesses globally on expanding their footprint in other territories.
The acquisition will also bolster Zedra’s presence in London – F&L’s London team of more than 70 will double Zedra’s workforce in the UK.
A team of 14 in Romania who provide support to the outsourcing services function will also join Zedra. And the F&L San Francisco office will continue to play a key role in business development and supporting clients on the US west coast.
Following completion of the acquisition, F&L will eventually rebrand to Zedra.
