Walkers' team in Jersey has advised longstanding British technology client Babylon Health on a significant funding round that values it at more than $2bn.
A Walkers team, led by Partner Mark Crichton (pictured), advised Babylon Health – the company behind the GP at Hand app and Ask Babylon – on its $550m fundraising.
Babylon already offers medical services and advice online in the UK and in Rwanda. With the latest round of funding secured, it plans to expand into the US and Asia, and to increase research and development into the diagnosis of chronic conditions.
The team advising on the Jersey law elements of the fundraising included Senior Associate Bella Ward, working alongside UK counsel Taylor Wessing and US counsel Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
