FInancial services provider Vistra has acquired Brazilian firm Jotaerre, a specialist in services tax (ISS) calculation and collection/payment.
According to Vistra, the acquisition enhances the firm's presence in Brazil, allowing it to offer international and local clients a broader range of company formation and management, secretarial, tax and accounting services.
Acquiring Jotaerre also provides Vistra with enhanced tax expertise and services.
Founded in 1989, Jotaerre is based in San Paulo, covering 4,170 municipalities across the country. It offers differentiated ISS tax services with a technology solution that interfaces with multiple Brazilian ISS submission systems, providing clients with a smoother tax reporting process.
Marcelo Borgheti will lead the expanded business as Country Managing Director, Vistra Brazil, and Jotaerre will be rebranded to Vistra in due course.
