Digital Jersey has appointed two new members to its board of directors – Aaron Chatterley, Co-founder of online global retailer, feelunique.com, and Gailina Liew (pictured), who has a background in international biotechnology and innovation.
Jersey-born Aaron is a partner at TechSmart Venture Partners, a venture capital fund focused on early stage digital and consumer businesses. He is also one of the founders of online beauty retailer, feelunique.com.
On joining the board he commented: "I became involved as an entrepreneur from the outset of the internet boom, and I now get great satisfaction in being able to support and mentor new digital businesses through TechSmart. Joining the Digital Jersey board is an extension of this and I’m looking forward to being able to use my experience in supporting the industry aims and objectives and help develop our island’s digital sector."
Gailina Liew is an entrepreneur and retired listed company executive with more than 20 years’ experience in commercialising personalised medicine and bioinformatics technologies. She has also established strategic alliances in North America and Asia, managed public-private partnerships and translated ideas into viable business opportunities.
Gailina moved to Jersey in 2015 and was appointed as a Commissioner to the Jersey Appointments Commission.
Aaron and Gallina replace Ivan Nikkhoo and Ben Hammersley who both stood down from the board in 2015 to pursue other interests.
