STEP Jersey to hold international conference this week

This year’s STEP Jersey Annual International Conference, to be held this Thursday, will consider a range of issues, including winning business from emerging markets and dealing with HMRC. 

The keynote address will be delivered by Richard Corrigan, States of Jersey's Group Director, Financial Services & Digital Economy, who will cover EU group requirements, Brexit, FAFT regulation and the development of international markets.

Other speakers include: 
• Christopher Graham, Associate Director of Global Research, Standard Chartered – economic round-up
• David Cadin, Managing Partner at Bedell Cristin – offshore trust round-up
• Jill Britton, Director of Supervision, Jersey Financial Services Commission – regulatory update 

Other topics to be covered include strategic thinking about tax, understanding HMRC and exploring the risks and benefits of investing in real estate as an asset class.

The agenda will include two panel sessions – 'Winning business from Emerging Markets' and 'Through the looking glass: the future of scrutiny and transparency'.
