STEP Guernsey lecture series returns

Posted: 11/09/2017

The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Guernsey lecture series relaunches this week, with the first lecture taking place on Monday 11 September in The Dorey Room, St James.

The lecture series includes business presentations that aim to help Guernsey practitioners take a global perspective. They are designed for members and non-members to enhance their understanding of trust and estate practice, and to update them on industry topics.

At the first event on Monday, speakers Alan Bougourd from the Guernsey Registry and Fiona Crocker from the GFSC will examine the beneficial ownership register and share their experiences to date.

The second lecture, on Wednesday 13 September, will be presented by Edward Thomas, Business Development Manager at Oxfam, who will look into the advisory sector’s relationship with philanthropy.

Law firm Mourant Ozannes, which has sponsored the series for the past three years, has agreed to continue its support.
