PaulBratch_SionicLuxembourgFinancial services consultancy Sionic has opened a Luxembourg office. This is Sionic’s sixth European base and 12th worldwide and comes a year after the merger of Sionic Advisors with Catalyst Development, including asset and wealth firm Knadel.

Sionic-Luxembourg will focus initially on the closed-ended fund administration sector, covering activity in private equity, real estate, infrastructure, debt, venture capital and the associated fund of funds.

Sionic also plans to introduce its wider portfolio of expertise in asset and wealth management and banking services to global, domestic and private banks, custody and depositary services, insurers and payment institutions located in Luxembourg.

The Sionic-Luxembourg team is being led by Sionic Managing Partner Paul Bratch (pictured), who has relocated to Luxembourg from Jersey. His Jersey-based career included almost two years with Catalyst and eight with Knadel, which was taken over by Catalyst in 2018.

Paul specialises in closed-ended fund administration and associated operating models, service providers and systems.

He commented: “Having worked with many Luxembourg-based clients over more than 20 years, I know the opportunities on offer, and am excited by key areas of growth and the number of new players entering the market.”
