The Association for Project Management (APM), one of the largest chartered bodies for the project profession in Europe, has formed a Channel Islands forum to oversee and organise events for the islands.
Three senior project managers came together to increase Jersey membership – Carl Ibbet (Principal, CI Project Management and Technology Consultancy), Alex Knowelden (Director, BHP Surveyors and Architects) and Eliot Lincoln (Managing Director, BDO Greenlight).
From Guernsey, they invited Ellie Knowelden (Brand Manager, Specsavers) and Tim Guilbert (Managing Director, Consult and Build) to join them to form APM in the Channel Islands.
Carl Ibbet explained: "There are already a significant number of APM members here, but there has been no regular forum for project managers to meet and share project management experiences. Alex, Eliot and I have organised the first of what we hope will be many events to provide a networking opportunity for project managers and to promote best practice in project management.”
APM in the Channel Islands is hosting two events in Jersey for project managers to find out more about the APM. Both events are being held on Tuesday 1 October at the Pomme D’Or Hotel in St Helier:
