Preston Legal promotes two to Partner level

MarkBoothman_PrestonLegal_jan21IanJones_PrestonLegal_jan21Jersey-based law firm Preston Legal has appointed two new Partners – Ian Jones and Mark Boothman.

Mark (pictured far right) is an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey (qualified 2014) and an English Solicitor (non-practising, qualified 2012) specialising in private client and commercial litigation. 

During his career, which started with Voisin Law in 2002, Mark has spent two years with Carey Olsen and two with Bois Bois Lawyers. He joined Preston Legal in November 2019.

Ian is a litigator with expertise in all forms of dispute resolution. His practice focuses on trust and regulatory disputes, contractual disputes, shareholder actions and restructuring/insolvency. 

Ian was admitted as a barrister in the UK in 2007 (currently non-practising), and as a Jersey Advocate in 2008. He joined Preston Legal in March 2018, having spent nine years in the litigation department of Carey Olsen.

He has also spent three years as Deputy Chairman of the Jersey Employment and Discrimination Tribunal.
