Equiom Holdings, the parent company of the Equiom Group, has announced the appointment of Philip Gore-Randall as Non-Executive Chairman.
Philip has extensive experience at a senior level in private and publicly held international organisations. In addition to his role at Equiom, Philip currently serves as Chairman and/or advisor to a number of other international organisations spanning various industries, including professional services, oil services, manufacturing and investment. In particular, he has a large amount of experience working with the private equity industry and in private-equity-funded businesses.
Philip’s prior non-executive career has included Chairman of ERM, one of the world’s leading international environmental consulting firms, member of the executive committee at law firm Lovells (now Hogan Lovells), and Director at major UK motor insurer, esure. In addition to this he has been a member of the Advisory Council of The Prince’s Trust and a council member of the Confederation of British Industry.
Philip spent 25 years at Arthur Andersen and was Senior and Managing Partner for their UK practice from 1997 to 2000 before he became the Firm’s Global Chief Operating Officer. Subsequent to Andersen he held executive positions as Chief Operating Officer of Aon UK, the insurance broker, and in late 2007, after the start of the global financial crisis, he joined the Board of HBOS as its Chief Operating Officer.
