Paul Blampied has joined C5 Alliance as a Software Engineer. In his new role, Paul will use his knowledge and skills in open source and open data, working closely with a team of expert consultants to implement the firm’s eHealth and eGovernment initiatives.
Before joining C5 Alliance, Paul worked as a software developer for the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC), the UK’s provider of data, information and IT systems for the NHS, who play a fundamental role in driving better care and services using technology.
Paul was part of the team who implemented Spine 2, the messaging infrastructure used to communicate critical patient data between the NHS and third parties. He also helped to develop the Summary Care Record application, now relied upon by thousands of NHS workers across the UK.
C5 Alliance will also put Paul’s technical skills and relevant experience in working with medical technology infrastructures to use, by dispatching him on projects for MedTech.je, a digital health consortium, which combines the skills of 250 local technology and health experts to create eHealth solutions.
