Partner Promotion for Appleby in Jersey

Leading offshore law firm Appleby has announced the promotion of Victoria Myerson to the position of Partner in the Jersey office. This promotion, effective 2 April 2012, further reflects the firm's strength and depth across the Litigation & Insolvency group in Jersey.

Victoria Myerson is head of Family Law and specialises in matrimonial disputes for high net worth clients. These involve the division of substantial assets, as well as issues regarding family trusts and business interests. Victoria has a wealth of experience, dealing with some of the most significant matrimonial proceedings in Jersey. Recent cases have involved disputes over various trust funds, company valuations, share portfolios and local property. She also appears regularly on behalf of the States of Jersey, in relation to public law children proceedings.

Victoria was called to the English Bar in 1994 and worked as a barrister, in London, before returning to Jersey and re-qualifying as an Advocate of the Royal Court in 2003. Victoria is a member of the Family Law Bar Association and Jersey Family Law Association.
