An Ogier team in Guernsey has advised Merian Chrysalis Investment Company, a newly incorporated Guernsey-registered investment scheme, on its initial public offering and admission to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
A team led by Group Partner Craig Cordle and Senior Associate Michelle Watson Bunn advised on the Guernsey law aspects of the launch, working with the fund's administrators, Maitland.
Merian Chrysalis, which raised £100 million on its initial issue and was admitted to trading on the LSE on 6 November, is advised by Merian Global Investors and will invest in a diversified portfolio consisting primarily of equity and equity-related securities issued by unquoted companies.
London law firm Travers Smith advised on the launch and Deloitte acted as reporting accountant. KPMG in Guernsey will act as auditor to Merian Chrysalis.
