The Jersey Chamber of Commerce has appointed Murray Norton as Chief Executive. He will take up the post on 23 May, when his time as a States Member comes to an end.
Murray has run several businesses in Jersey, including The Quai Restaurant and Murray's, and is currently Brand Ambassador and Sales Manager for Liberty Wharf Apartments. He also spent a large part of his early career as a radio presenter and producer for the BBC.
Most recently, having been elected as Deputy for St Brelade in 2014, Murray has held the post of Assistant Minister for Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture at the States of Jersey, with responsibility for culture and heritage.
He was also responsible for trading standards, consumer affairs and the Channel Island lottery, as well as sitting on the panel for the Housing and Work Advisory Group.
