Nedbank Private Wealth has appointed Chris Kirk to lead its risk team. He will be based in the company’s Isle of Man office but will support the business across the UK, Jersey and Guernsey too.
Chris has more than 33 years’ experience in the financial services industry, working for blue-chip companies in London, continental Europe and Jersey, in addition to smaller challenger banks.
Prior to joining Nedbank, Chris had a one-year contract at Al Rayan Bank as Interim CFO. He also founded and led UK-based management consultancy Red Sky Consulting.
Earlier in his career, he spent almost 12 years with HSBC Group and held a number of executive roles, including Global Head of Financial Crime Compliance for the Commercial Banking division.
In his new role, his primary responsibilities include second-line assurance of activities, including credit risk, operational risk enterprise wide, and prudential risk. Chris also joins the bank’s executive committee.
